The runner who can not run their first lap within 1h22min cannot start the next lap.

Application

• Application on the Internet: by filling the registration form found on our website until 13th November
• Application in person:
  • in the BSI office on workdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the latest on 13th November
  • at our races at the information desk
  • in the race center on 15th November 8.30-10.15 and 13.30-15.15 and on 16th November 8.30-10.45

If the application is not done in person, the application form is to be sent to BSI until the deadline of the postal application.

In case of pre-application the application fee can be paid by bankcard (VISA, Maestro, MasterCard) in the BSI office or by the authorisation given on the application form it can be lifted from an embossed card.

Registration-number, chip and T-shirts to be taken

• in BSI in person from 10th November from 9.00 to 17.00h, latest on 13th November (1138 Budapest, Váci út 152.)
• in the race center
  • on 15th November 8.30-10.15 and 13.30-15.15
  • on 16th November 8.30-10.45

Awarding

1st-3rd places in both gender on the distances of marathon and the halfmarathon of the 16th.

The results' announcement will happen on the spot on 16th November from 13.45. The net times of the participants of each distance will be announced. (In the halfmarathon results those running the marathon distance will not be considered.)

After the results' announcement of the Balaton Marathon will be the announcement of the 23rd Nike Budapest International Halfmarathon and the 23rd Plus Budapest International Marathon amateur participants' results.

Refreshment stations

15th 1/3 marathon:

Only for marathon and halfmarathon, available on the website from the evening of 16th November

Time measurement

Calculating time is handled by using electrical chips.

• The amount of deposit for the chip is 1000 HUF (5 euro) that is to be paid at taking the starting number and the chip itself.
• The chip can be re-exchanged after the race in the tents in the finish area
• Only for 1/3 marathon runners on 15th until 13.00 at the information
• For the halfmarathon in two parts runners on 15th until 17.30
• The halfmarathon relayers receive one more chip for the 1/6 marathon, its deposit is also 1000HUF. This chip can be obtained from 15th from 13.30 to 15.15 and is to be redeemed until 17.30 in the tents in the finish area.
• All other runners are to redeem the chips on 16th until 14.30.
• You can only participate in the race with ChampionChip! (Except the 1/6 marathon runners)
• In individual races the chip is to be fastened to the shoes.
• The relay teams will receive their chips on a Velcro-strip; this must be handed over at each relay point during the race. The team whose member is not using the chip properly will be fined by 10 minutes.
• If you intend to use your own chip, please notify us of this - presenting your chip and the number of it - when you are given your starting number.

Miscellaneous

• Every runner and participant in wheel chair, who accepts the regulations of the race, can start the race.
• All those will be disqualified, who fold or cover their number of registration, or do not wear it attached to their chest. Those who do not complete the full stretch defined by the organisers and who fill out their registration forms with false, incomplete or imprecise data, will also be disqualified.
• It is forbidden to roller blade, ride a bicycle, run with a dog, run with somebody on a bicycle and to run without a registration number.
• We cannot store any items of value.
• Any advertising activity must be done with the permission of the BSI, and must comply with the rules of advertisements as defined by the BSI.
• BSI reserves the right to limit the number of participants and close the registration at any time.
• BSI reserves the right to modify the course and date.
